eLab - Ms. Langston

"Teaching can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instill a love of learning."

My name is Carolyn Langston. I graduated from UTC with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2010 and with my Master's degree in Elementary Education in August 2011.

I started working at Normal Park as an aftercare employee when I was placed here through UTC for my pre-student teaching placement in 2008. The moment I stepped into the school I fell in love. I have worked at Normal Park as part of aftercare, the daycare, as a Pre-K assistant, and now as the Pre-K teacher. Working with young children is my passion; I could not imagine doing anything else! This is my absolute favorite age group to work with because they grow so much in the year that I get to spend with them and they are so expressive and curious.

My husband, Chuck, and I live in the neighborhood and we absolutely love being a part of this community! We have two daughters. Lorelei is 4 and Elizabeth celebrated her first birthday in July. We are loving being a family of four and watching Lorelei and Elizabeth grow, learn, and play together everyday. We also share our home with our spoiled rotten dog, Topanga.
