My name is Kerri Porter. I was born and raised right here in Chattanooga, TN. I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in May of 2017 with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in middle grades and special education. I married my college sweetheart, Trevor, five years ago on June 23rd! We built our dream home in Harrison, TN and love to host our family and friends! We are currently expecting our first children (twin girls) in November! (:
I started my career at Normal Park during the spring of 2017 as a student teacher with Mrs. Lafferty in first grade. I am now currently in my seventhyear at Normal Park! Previously, I was a Pre-K teacher at Normal Park for 3 years. This is currently my fourth year as a Kindergarten teacher and it is my favorite grade to teach so far! I am SO excited to have an amazing year with my sweet Kinders and their families and be a part of their adventure here at Normal Park! :)
While student teaching, I fell in love with everything Normal Park had to offer and the closeness of the community where everybody knows everybody! I knew how much I wanted to be a part of the Normal park family and when the opportunity arose I landed what I consider my dream job!! I feel so honored to have began my career at such a wonderful school with my amazing Kindergarten team! I look forward to meeting new families, students, and build new relationships with the awesome community we have here at Normal Park!
