"Do not let what you cannot do interfere
with what you can do."
I'm Carolyn Langston, and I've been a proud member of the Normal Park community since 2010. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and my Master's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 from UTC. My husband, Chuck, and I got married in 2012 and we live in North Chattanooga with our two daughters Lorelei (5) and Elizabeth (2). We love being part of this amazing community and seeing the sweet friendships are children are developing at Normal Park. I have had the privilege of inspiring young minds and fostering a love of learning in our littlest learners while I spent my first 13 years at Normal Park in our Pre-K program.
I'm excited to begin my new role at Normal Park in our Lower School's new VW eLab, a digital fabrication lab that will provide our students with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in the future. From laser cutting and 3D printing to coding and robotics, our lab offers endless possibilities for exploration and creativity. But beyond the technology, our focus will always be on nurturing growth mindset as well as encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and effective communication. I can't wait to see what our students will achieve in this exciting new space!
