ABC’s of Volunteering at NPMM– requirements and options for volunteering.
Volunteer hours Google Form – Use this form to log all volunteer hours at NPMM. All hours will be logged into PowerSchool and total will be tallied for all families under the name of your youngest student.
Museum Visit Form – Earn up to 5 hours for visiting our local museums.
If you are a volunteer/assistance coach or a chaperone (small group leader) for a learning expedition or lab, you will need to be fingerprinted and fill out a background check. You may begin to volunteer AFTER you have confirmation/approval from an administrator. Click on the link below to get started.
All menus are posted on the LINQ Connect website. Click on the button above to create an account. Call the school to access your child’s student number.
LINQ Connect offers parents and staff a convenient, easy, and secure way to deposit money into your child’s account using your bank account or credit card. You can also review purchases on your children(s) accounts, view menus, transfer balances, submit a free & reduced application, and view the status of your free & reduced application. There is a fee of $2.60 to make a payment on your child’s account. All other features are free.

We have a school nurse at each campus who can assist with any medical issues your child may have: Dawn Morrow and Jennifer DeFoor. They alternate campuses throughout the week. Call the school and select “Nurse” in the call tree to speak to one of them.
If your child requires over-the-counter medicine at school (Tylenol, Zyrtec, Tums, etc.), you must complete the form below and bring the medicine in the original bottle. One form per child.
If your child requires prescription medicine (inhalers, ADHD meds, antibiotics, etc.), the form below must be filled out and signed by their physician and signed by the parent before meds will be administered.
Doctor’s excuses may be sent in to the office or emailed to Heather Buttram at the lower school (buttram_h@hcde.org) or Billie Jo Bowes at the upper school (bowes_billie@hcde.org). They may also be FAXED to (423) 893-1120.
What is Normal Park Spark?
Normal Park Spark is our school support organization that funds and provides academic resources for the students at Normal Park Museum Magnet. Normal Park owes its success to the efforts of faculty, students, parents and the surrounding community. Normal Park Spark marshals the resources of these groups to foster the high student achievement that the school is known for locally and beyond.
In 2017, Normal Park combined it’s PTA, Education Fund, and the Lightning Athletic Club to create one streamlined organization for our school and achieve our necessary fundraising goals.
What does Spark Support?
-Production materials and supplies for every exhibit each year
-Reading and Math Interventionists
-Materials and teacher stipends for the Science Labs
-STEM lab materials
– New Teacher Classroom Supplies
-Professional development for faculty
-Professional consultants to enhance instruction
-Related Arts support
Each year Normal Park’s administrators work alongside Spark to determine the best allocation of funds for students and faculty at Normal Park. In addition to yearly grants, Spark is able to meet immediate funding needs as they arise throughout the school year.
How to Support Normal Park Spark?
A recurring gift of $25 per month or $300 annually covers everything a student at Normal Park experiences through Spark funding. Visit normalpark.kindful.com to set up your recurring gift today!

What is the Lightning Athletic Club?
The LAC is Spark’s athletic booster club. From its founding in 2014, the Lightning Athletic Club leaders have believed that physical activity complements academic development and personal growth. It is the mission of the LAC to offer a wide range of quality programs which will encourage and facilitate all participants to realize opportunities for championship athletic participation, physical fitness and well being.
