I am looking forward to a great year in FIRST GRADE with YOU! I can't wait to get to know everyone in the coming year. I would like to take the chance to tell you a little about myself.
After having a placement at NPMM for a semester during my time at UTC, I knew that this is where I wanted to teach. It became my dream to teach at Normal Park. My dream came true 17 years ago! I was blessed to have the opportunity to begin my teaching career here and have grown so much as an educator from my time at Normal Park. I began teaching Pre-K at NPMM in 2006. After teaching Pre-K for 3 years, I started a new adventure in 1st grade and I've been here since.
Personally, I have 2 daughters, Tallulah (16) and Lakelyn (10) with my husband Tyson. The students will learn quickly that my favorite color is GREEN and I LOVE all things chocolate, doughnuts and coffee. I am also passionate about taking care of the environment and adore sloths! You could maybe tell from my classroom collection if you've been in my room! My family and I are Florida Gator fans and big CFC soccer fans! We spend a lot of time on the soccer field cheering on Tallulah, as well as, at the barn with Lakelyn and her horse Pongo.
But most importantly, I want you to know that I look forward to teaching, guiding and loving your child in the year to come! I am excited to partner with you to make this year a success!
