I am so excited to start my 18th year teaching! I grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from UTC in 2006. As a first grader, I decided I wanted to be a teacher and I kept that goal. I  taught Pre K at Siskin Children's Institute and then moved on to McBrien Elementary School where I attended as a child.  It was an amazing experience to work with my own former teachers, who taught me a lot about helping children learn and grow. McBrien Elementary combined with East Ridge Elementary and I worked there for several years as a first grade teacher.   I moved to Thrasher Elementary on Signal Mountain, where I taught for seven years. This will be my third year teaching at Normal Park. 

    In all I have taught PreK, first, second, and third grades.  I enjoy working with children of all ages and watching them discover and learn. I strive to make sure my classroom is a kind, caring environment where all students feel both comfortable and excited about coming to school each day. 

    I enjoy spending time with my husband and son camping, kayaking, and hiking. We  enjoy living in Chattanooga and love the outdoors. I am excited to make this the best school year yet!
