Hi there! My name is Kayla Rominger (Ro-ming-er), and I am thrilled to be spending another year as a teacher at Normal Park! This will be my 7th year teaching here, and my second year teaching 6th grade math! To say that I love being a teacher, especially at NPMM, would be an understatement.
I am a Chattanooga Native and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (preK-3) Education/Special Education and Middle Grades (4-8) Education. As a teacher, I am most passionate about the relationships that I form with students. I strive to create a community where all children feel seen, heard, loved, & valued.
I am married to the best teacher hubby ever, Hunter. He's always willing to lend a helpful hand and his support in the classroom. Together we have one very furry child, our dog, Graham. Chances are that you will end up hearing lots of stories about them both! I cannot wait to get to know you and your child. It’s going to be a fabulous year in sixth grade!
Just a few of my favorite things:
Color: olive green and pink
Dessert: cheesecake, anything Cookies & Cream
Drink: Caramel Frappuccino and Chai Tea Latte
Snack: popcorn and beef jerky
Flower: Succulents and Tulips
Candy: Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, Kit-Kats
Team: Go Vols!
