Hi Normal Park families! I am overwhelmingly excited to begin my fourth year here at Normal Park! Being my 18th year of classroom instruction, I have spent the last 15 years in teaching hundreds of sweet Kindergarteners and I loved every minute. I have a Bachelor's degree in Childhood Development and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Before I joined the team at Normal Park, I taught Kindergarten at Lausanne Collegiate, an International Baccalaureate school, located in Memphis, TN. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my years there, my family and I made a decision to relocate back to east Tennessee and we are excited about what this new journey has brought! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 24 years and we have three amazing sons, ages 22, 19, and 17. Spending time with my family is what I enjoy most, but I also enjoy going to the beach, skating, and exercising.
I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten! It is my mission every year to instill a lifelong love for learning in my students within an environment that fosters curiosity, wonder, and creativity. I look forward to a wonderful year!
