WELCOME
I am ecstatic to be your music teacher again this year at Normal Park. Over the years, and in various states, I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd grades, Choral/Theater 4th - 8th, Reading Intervention 4th - 8th as well as teaching Kindermusik for 11 years. I have been a part of the Normal Park family as a parent, teacher and a substitute for the past seven years and am now beginning my 2nd year in this dream position of fostering the love and joy of music in children's lives. My hope is that children will explore different ways to incorporate music into their lives in order to bring happiness, wellness and an appreciation of the beauty of music.

About Me:
I grew up in Kingsport, TN and discovered a love for music while singing in a children's church choir, playing handbells and taking piano lessons. I went to King College (it is now King University) and majored in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Music. I went on to obtain my Masters in Elementary Education and added Music to my teaching certificate. I have been married to my amazing and supportive husband, Carl, for 30 years and have three precious and awesome children (ages 12, 19 & 23). I love spending time with my family and three fur babies (Tallie - cat, Gizmo - little dog, and Gus -giant dog). I enjoy tennis, hiking, biking, reading, cooking and spreading love and joy to kids at school and my church.
