Dance - Ms. Burse

Hello everyone! My name is Jordan Burse, and I am the Dance Teacher here at the Lower School. I am from Ringgold, Georgia and I currently live there with my husband, Benjamin, daughter, Dakota Mae, and pup, Rexa. When I'm not teaching, you can find me doing all things outdoors. I am an avid deer hunter, gardener, and crazy chicken lady. My love for the outdoors is met with the same love I have for dance.  I started my dance career by trying out for the dance team at Heritage Middle School in the 7th grade. I danced on both the middle and high school dance teams. Dance was a year-round sport, dancing at every football game, pep rally, and basketball game halftime show. The other time was spent competing in competitions around the state of Georgia and Tennessee. I was Captain of our Competition Hip Hop Team and helped us bring home the State Championship title. In my off time, I was the coach of one our local elementary school's dance teams that also danced at a competitive level.  After high school, dance took a back seat as I traveled around with my husband, who was then a Paratrooper in the US Army. Following his dream was fun, but after 7 years of that lifestyle, I knew it was time to start following mine again! A little over a year after returning to Ringgold, the opportunity to become the dance teacher here at Normal Park opened and the rest was history. I feel SO incredibly thankful to be the one in this position and I cannot wait to share my passion of dance with each and every student that walks through the auditorium doors.
