My name is Tracey Stevens and
I LOVE teaching Kindergarten!!
I was a Normal Park parent for 13 years and it was the best place for our family to be. I have two children: Maggie is 20 and Jack is 17. I am married to Greg and we celebrated 26 years in March.
As a family we love to travel and be outside. We take one long trip a year in our Volkswagen Westfalia Syncro to explore different areas of the country and Canada. Then we do things locally to experience all that our area has to offer. I love to read, cook, garden, hike and exercise. None of our family lives here so we are on the road or hosting at home. We are not from Chattanooga but have lived here for over 20 years and love it!!
I have always been an educator and have held many positions in the field since I was in Graduate School: third, kindergarten, first and fourth grade teacher, Assistant Director of Florida State University's Alumni Village Preschool Program, Head Start Assistant Coordinator, National Paideia Center faculty member training teachers around the country, substitute for Hamilton County, working for the Public Education Foundation and a volunteer. Education is my passion and I am so excited to be in the classroom full time.
Normal Park is a very special place for families to be. As an educator and a parent, I urge you to be involved at any level, as much as you can. Normal Park functions so well because of the amazing support we have from families and the community.
I know this year will be a fantastic one and I feel so lucky to be your child's teacher. Kindergarten is so very special; Together we will learn and grow and have so much fun doing it!!!
